Week 3 - Doing boring, but important stuff

Third week on EVS was very active, but also very stressful.

First two day I spent with my coordinator in town to open my visa application, VAR number, bank account and other things that I could work in Crnomelj for one year. There was one problem, my three way contract(with my sending coordinator, receiving coordinator and my sigh) still unfinished. So we decided to skip Dejan and contact his coordinator Barbara Grican and with her and my sending coordinator Tamara Poparic finished this contract for two days and on Friday I had contract in my hands. And finished the job of applying for visa. So I was waiting until beginning of next year.
On Tuesday 19.12.2017. I was in intergeneration house in Metlika. I was participating on workshop, preparing the christmas chocolate. And it's taste was like chocolate with more cacao than milk. But just to now, we don't used a milk in process, we used coconut butter that's malted on boiling water. That's interesting...
Next day I was walking with my mentor Jakov around Crnomelj and seeing all the important things: shops, museum, club... Also we spent some time in former refugee camp. Unfortunately this building was burned. Before that there was refugees from civil wars in Yugoslavia. That kind of sadness comes around.
But just few days after that, on Saturday 23.12.2017. I was in the club with some friends. It was a reggae music band that my coordinator likes, so it's a great time to visiting the club. In general, club like other club. Just without cigarette smoke.
And in the ends very productive week is behind me.

Week 2 - On-arrival Training

From 11th till 15th of December 2017. was organized EVS On-arrival Training in MC Brežice. Well organized place with a park aren't for a first time organized that kind of event. That looks good after shocks that I got in time that I arrived in Črnomelj. Also that's a first time that I had a proper internet connection, so I'm used to tell everybody that I'm fine.
In general On-arrival training is a good platform to inform to all thing that's important during the EVS. The little smaller group that organizers expect was a great chance to everybody to tell why and what expect during the EVS projects. Also it was mentored by good organized trainers and coordinator with experience and willing to get to know us better. The highlights are loot of exercises during every morning, that connects to our EVS projects, video shotting for one personal project and walking outside and speaking with other volunteers.
In general great experience that will try to keep in my mind for longest as I can. Črnomelj, Ljubljana, Sežana, Ajdovščina, Trbovlje, Murska Sobota and Koper, i hope that see you soon!
